Reminisce of the pariah
Dedication To my dear readers, For you... Because I wish I knew this at my lowest,For you... Because I wish I weren’t alone, For you... Because I understand. Acknowledgement Tell me a year ago that I would be writing an acknowledgement for my book, and I would have laughed at your face and then cried about how shitty my life is. But this is not last year, and the story I had wanted toshare for so long is finally alive. I have a lot to be thankful for, obviously. Today, or this book, would not have been possible without the support of many people, and I would like to take this page to acknowledge them. First, I would like to thank my husband. Truly, this book would not have existed without him. He has stood as a rock beside me, urging me to share my story. He was with me since the ideation of this book, and if it weren’t for him pushing me every time I stopped writing, you would not be reading this book. Page |4 I would also like to thank my editor, Shruti Dutta Banik, and the teachers in my life for their support, encouragement, inspiration, ideas, sincerity, and dedication to their craft. They promptly undertook their roles in my life, guiding me and this book until the end. It would be unfair not to thank my karma (kismet) for bringing me to this point in my life. I wouldn’t have imagined this even in the wildest dreams of my life. All my life experiences have indirectly directed me to this point, helping me find my voice, a direction, a community that believes in me, and a future I can be excited about. Finally, I cannot end this acknowledgement without expressing my gratitude to my cherished readers. To have my story in your hands is of such pleasure to me. Thank you for reading, and I hope it touches your heart just as it touched my life.
